Waivers
For your peace of mind and the protection of you and your passengers, Budget
offers the following packages:
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) - from $19.95 daily
This coverage protects you for loss of, or damage to the rental vehicle.
Note : LDW coverage with different deductible apply to the type of vehicle
class.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) - $3.95 daily
This coverage insures the renter and passengers of the vehicle for accidental
bodily injury.
Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) - $2.00 daily
This coverage insures against physical loss, or damage to the insured property
contained in the vehicle.
Ask at the rental counter for more details.
Optional Equipment
Based on availability the following optional equipment may be rented:
baby and child seats - $7.00 daily
Ski racks - $5.00 daily
Additional Driver
Spouses drive for free at Budget .
As an additional service to our customers we allow 3 additional drivers to be
added to the contract at a rate of $10/person/day with a maximum of
$50.00/person/rental.
Pickup Restrictions
Vehicles must be picked up at least one hour prior to a location's closing
time. Hours of operation can be found by viewing the specific location.
For Vancouver International Airport, service are limited and restricted to
deplaning passengers only. Customers must present current airline ticket or
boarding pass at time of rental.
After Hours Dropoff
Vehicles may be returned after our business hours. Special conditions and some
restrictions may apply. More information can be obtained at the time of pickup.
Taxes
Local taxes (P.S.T & G.S.T) totaling 13% will be applied to your rental. In
British Columbia rental vehicles are also subject to a Passenger Vehicle Rental
Tax (PVRT) of $1.50 / day and a Vehicle License Fee/Air Conditioning Excise Tax
surcharge (VLF/AC) of $1.84/day.
Concession Fee Recovery
A surcharge of 17.50% will be applied to rentals at the Vancouver International
Airport.
Age Requirements
Budget, like all other car rental companies, requires drivers to be 25 years of
age or older.
Employees 21 years of age and older with a corporate account traveling on
business may also rent from Budget.
